'The Deadly Missiles' (Story Code '44402') by Wilton Denmark

The Los Angeles missile warning system is jammed, and a missile crash-lands just outside the city. Oscar suspects that the weapon was launched from the ranch estate of aerospace tycoon J.T. Conners, and so turns to Jaime, an old friend of the magnate. Jaime sets off to investigate, and soon comes to believe that J.T. is innocent; however, she is not so sure about Warren Rayker, J.T.’s right-hand man…
